HOW You’ll CONTRIBUTE Technical Drafting and Documentation * Prepare detailed working drawings, specifications, and construction documents using Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools. * Produce presentation drawings, renderings, and physical and digital models to support design development and client communication. * Prepare comprehensive documentation for tender, permit, and construction phases. Building Science and Construction Knowledge * Apply a strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and best practices to support constructable and efficient design solutions. * Apply building science knowledge to resolve complex technical and constructability challenges. Code Compliance and Regulatory Coordination * Work alongside the project architect to ensure designs align with zoning regulations, building codes, and applicable technical standards. * Review and interpret technical documents, bylaws, and reports to inform design decisions and approvals. Collaboration and Project Coordination * Work closely with architects, engineers, planners, and consultants to integrate design and technical elements seamlessly. * Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support smooth project delivery. Contract Administration Support * Assist with contract administration services including preparing addenda, supplementary sketches, and site instructions. * Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support change order documentation. * Participate in construction-phase coordination and site reviews as required. Continuous Learning and Professional Development * Maintain proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and emerging technologies. * Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay current with construction methods, codes, and industry advancements. What would help you succeed: Intermediate Architectural Technician / Technologist / Technical Architect * Experience working in an architectural or multidisciplinary design environment with a demonstrated ability to contribute to project documentation and technical production. * Strong technical drafting and documentation skills using and Revit and AutoCAD * Experience in building science, construction methodologies, and code compliance * Experience supporting projects across multiple phases, from design development through construction * Interest in expanding technical expertise, autonomy, and project leadership * Working knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada, with the ability to apply Canadian and North American best practices in construction documentation and detailing under guidance or with peer review.
