International Recruitment: a human and trusted approach
We align Atlantic Canadian companies with qualified and skilled job-seekers and facilitate the immigration processes from beginning to end.
Recruiting international contributors just got easier
Nova Scotia has innovated in creating opportunities for employers to fill employment gaps through immigration with programs like the Atlantic Immigration Pilot and the provincial nominee programs.
In November 2021, the Nova Scotia government made program changes making it faster and less expensive than ever to bring international skilled-workers to the province for hard-to-fill occupations. The three major changes include:
New additions to the Occupations in Demand immigration stream, which now includes: food counter attendants, kitchen helpers, related support occupations, food and beverage servers and light duty cleaners.
For those Occupations in Demand, the province no longer requires the employee to work with the employer for six months before applying to the Nominee Program, (expediting the work permit application process).
Employers can now hire these workers without the need for a labour market impact assessment (removing assessment and advertisement costs and further reducing the hiring timeline).
